Tooth jewellery can be placed on beautiful, well-cared-for teeth.
The tooth jewels we use are made specifically for this purpose – non-toxic and safe. For a tooth jewel to last for years, it must be slightly curved and fixed with flowable composite.
No mechanical treatment of the tooth surface is needed to place tooth jewellery. The surface is cleaned thoroughly and a little flowable composite is placed under the jewel. Once the jewel is in place, the composite is light-cured.
What tooth jewellery do we offer?
We have tooth jewellery for girls and boys, men and women. Jewels can be placed on any tooth, but they are usually placed on permanent teeth from the age of 10. The rainbow stone has been very popular, and light sapphire and blue zircon are also often used.
We also place real diamonds. As diamonds are cone-shaped, a small recess has to be made in the tooth surface. Later the recess can be filled with filling material and the tooth’s appearance restored.
Removing tooth jewellery
If you want a jewel removed, the crystals cannot be saved. Jewels set in gold are stronger and can be returned to the patient to be reused later.
